As the FinTech landscape continues to grow and the pace of innovation accelerates corporations are under increasing pressure to access this innovation. Many are using direct investments as a primary tool of engagement which has led corporate venture to emerge as a major force in the FinTech innovation ecosystem.
We are pleased to invite you to join a panel of industry experts from Silicon Valley and the European FinTech World who will be discussing the increasing role of corporate venture in FinTech, how to create and sustain a venture strategy to support corporate innovation, driving value creation for both portfolio companies and back into the enterprise.
We will be joined by Ron Spector, CEO of Circini Innovation, an international advisory firm which provides strategic consulting services in corporate innovation and corporate venture to a major financial service firms. Ron has 23 years experience in Silicon Valley and internationally as a lawyer, investment banker, venture capitalist and CEO. Ron is a strategic innovation advisor and venture partner representative to companies in the financial services, retail and media sectors and will bring his extensive knowledge and experience to the debate.
Luca Gori – a Partner in the London office of DLA Piper. Luca is a private equity and venture capital specialist and represents a number of major corporate venture arms. Recently Luca has seen first hand (and continues to act for) two new entrants in the financial services corporate venture world. He will deliver his views on the momentum of corporate venturing and its relevance to financial services.
Our panel will include – Silicon Valley Bank who have a long heritage in working with the global FinTech startup ecosyst emwill be represented by Gerald Brady.
Richard O’Gorman from Rabo Ventures who has been very active in recent years in the fintech ecosystem and investment space. Richard O’Gorman of Rabo Private Equity will discuss Rabo’s experience in corporate venturing and later stage investment from the corporate perspective.
Richard brings 17 years international experience in financial markets, startup, venture capital and private equity.
Both panellists will explore the practicalities of running, managing and optimising corporate interests through venture in FinTech.
In addition – we are offering 4 x 1hr sessions with Ron Spector during his stay in London on either the 24th, 25th , 26th May for those organisations exploring or preparing to launch a CVC and would benefit from a 1:1 exchange on best practice.
